Garden Office - Hooton
Bifold doors & Underfloor heating
We built this 18m2 (4.6m x 4m) garden office in Hooton. It was built on top of a concrete slab which we prepared and laid for the client. The interior ceiling and walls are plastered and painted white. The exterior has vertical treated red cedar tongue and groove cladding.
The garden office has anthracite grey bifold doors to the front and a tall slim tilt and turn double glazed window to the side. The floor is covered with a wood look laminate. There are 6 double sockets. In the ceiling there are 9 recessed spotlights in 3 rows of 3. These lights are then carried outside under the canopy where there are 5 external spotlights.
Main challenge of the project
The main challenge of this project was fitting an underfloor heating system of 16m2 which is more than the standard size of a 12m2 heating mat. This meant that we had to design the heating system to incorporate 2 heating mats.
Main satisfaction of the project
This project gave us the chance to finish 2021 in style with our latest innovations:
- an underfloor heating system
- a large canopy giving the chance to install external spotlights
- anthracite grey bifold doors and windows with matching fascia board around the canopy
